The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking information from potential contractors for the replacement of overhead lift systems at the Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System. The contractor will be required to provide and install patient lift systems, including tracks, spreader bars, and slings, and will be responsible for removing and disposing of the existing systems. The contractor must also provide training on the use of the new equipment and ensure that all work is done in accordance with VA regulations and guidelines. The contract will be a firm-fixed price contract, and the contractor will be required to provide a 12-month warranty on all equipment and installation. Some key features of the patient lift system include: • A minimum single-motor weight capacity of 600 pounds • A digital patient weight scale integrated into the motor • A wired hand control with an integrated display • Automatic preemptive alerts for maintenance and service conditions • Onboard monitoring and networked communication of lift-use data • Wireless network communication (Wi-Fi connectivity) for issuance of alerts to staff and lift data The contractor must also provide software that supports remote review and analysis of lift data and presents a dashboard showing frequency of use, location of use, and load trends.
