Continuous Seawater Supply

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is seeking a contractor to provide a continuous flow of seawater to the La Jolla Laboratory. The seawater will be pumped from the intake at the end of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography (SIO) Pier, flow through the SWFSC experimental aquarium, and returned to the ocean via SIO’s seawater outfall. The contractor will be responsible for the cost of operations and maintenance of the SIO seawater system based on an expected usage rate of continuous seawater delivered at a rate of 80 gallons per minute. The period of performance will be from September 14, 2026, to September 13, 2027. • The contractor must provide continuous seawater flow to the SWFSC La Jolla Laboratory. • The contractor must maintain the SIO seawater system. • The contractor will be paid based on an expected usage rate of 80 gallons per minute. • The period of performance is from September 14, 2026, to September 13, 2027.
