Description
The Virginia Department of Transportation is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive ditch maintenance and erosion control services across Greensville, Isle of Wight, Southampton, and Sussex Counties. The work includes regular ditch cleaning, installation and removal of silt fencing, and placement of erosion control matting and related materials. This contract is a short‑term, performance‑based service requiring experienced crews with equipment for earthwork and erosion control.
• Perform routine ditch cleaning and debris removal to maintain drainage.
• Install, maintain, and remove silt fences and other erosion control barriers.
• Supply and install erosion control matting and miscellaneous soil erosion sheeting materials (e.g., burlap, jute, straw).
• Coordinate with county officials to ensure compliance with local environmental regulations.
• Provide all labor, equipment, and consumables necessary to complete the scope within the contract period.
