Memorial Hall Renovation RFP

The City of Hutchinson, Kansas is seeking a qualified firm to provide design services for the renovation of Memorial Hall, a historic building located in the Downtown Core South Historic District. The selected firm will be responsible for developing conceptual drawings, construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates for the renovation. The firm will also be required to facilitate community engagement meetings and stakeholder meetings to ensure that the renovations meet the needs of the community. The City is looking for a firm with experience in historic preservation and renovation projects, and the ability to work with the City to secure Kansas Historic Preservation Tax Credits. Some key aspects of the project include: • Renovation of Memorial Hall, a historic building constructed in 1911-1912 • Development of conceptual drawings, construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates • Facilitation of community engagement meetings and stakeholder meetings • Assistance with applying for and securing Kansas Historic Preservation Tax Credits • Projected construction start date of early 2027 • Anticipated total cost of the renovation is approximately $5 million
