Hay Cutting & Baling Services

The opportunity is for Hay Cutting and Baling Services for Northwestern State University. The contractor will be responsible for cutting, raking, baling, and removing hay from university property. The initial contract term is from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027, with the option to extend for two additional 12-month periods. The contractor must provide all necessary labor, equipment, fuel, and materials. The university reserves the right to reject any and all quotes. Key aspects of the job include: • Cutting and raking hay in designated pasture areas • Baling hay (round or square bales) • Removing hay from the site within an agreed timeframe after baling • Coordinating all activities with NSU Facilities & Plant Operations • Providing a revenue model, with the contractor retaining 100% of hay produced or paying NSU a percentage of gross revenue
