DOC Mount Pleasant Correctional Facility Diesel Tanks Replacement & Spill Containment

The State of Iowa Department of Administrative Services (DAS) is seeking professional design services for the replacement of existing diesel tanks with new tanks with proper spill containment at the Mt. Pleasant Correctional Facility. The successful proposal must include qualifications, experience, and expertise in providing services for similar projects, a list of past similar projects, and a description of the composition of the team. The designer will be responsible for preparing construction drawings and specifications, attending design kick-off meetings, and providing cost estimating and reporting procedures. The project is expected to commence upon execution of a contract, with a tentative design kick-off meeting scheduled for the week of January 26, 2026. Key services include: • Preparation of construction drawings and specifications • Attendance at design kick-off meetings • Cost estimating and reporting procedures • Design review and coordination with the Construction Manager • Compliance with all Federal, State, and applicable AHJ codes • Completion of State building and energy code documents The project duration is approximately 40 weeks, with a scheduled completion date of November 2026.
