Operation and Maintenance of Cogeneration Engine Generators at WRRF

The New York City Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) seeks qualified firms to provide 24/7 operation and maintenance services for five newly‑installed GE Jenbacher cogeneration engine generators at the North River Wastewater Resource Recovery Facility. The work includes continuous operation, preventive and corrective maintenance, inventory management, staffing with FDNY‑certified personnel (G‑91 and G‑29), and coordination with DEP staff. The contract is anticipated to run for five years beginning January 2027, with an estimated annual cost to be provided by respondents. • Provide 24 / 7 O&M for five 12 MW total cogeneration generators (electrical + thermal output). • Staff must hold FDNY G‑91 and G‑29 Certificates of Fitness and be on‑site whenever the plant operates. • Deliver preventive maintenance, inspections, spare‑parts management, and emergency response, following DEP safety and performance standards.
