The State of Oregon is seeking to extend the Term of six Telecommunication Device Access Program (TDAP) contracts for 24 months, allowing sufficient time for drafting a new Request for Proposals (RFP) solicitation, evaluations of proposals, and contract awards. The TDAP program provides specialized telecommunications equipment and accessories to eligible Oregon residents with disabilities in hearing, vision, speech, mobility, or cognition. The estimated total cost for the 24-month extension is $2,135,444. • The six contracts to be extended are with Teltex, Tobii Dynavox, Weibrecht Communications Inc., RAZ Mobility, Prentke Romich, and Smartbox. • The extension will allow the Oregon Public Utility Commission (PUC) to continue providing essential services to eligible Oregon residents with disabilities. • The extension is necessary to ensure that the PUC can develop comprehensive contracts with a multi-vendor/distribution center approach, aligning with the objectives set forth in chapter 290, Oregon Laws 1987. • A new competitive, open-market RFP will be developed and solicited during the extended timeframe, providing an opportunity for the incumbent and new companies to submit proposals for evaluation and award to support the TDAP program.
