Regulatory Commission of Alaska: Notice of Utility Tariff Filings (AWWU)

The Regulatory Commission of Alaska has given notice that Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility (AWWU) has filed revenue requirement studies for its water and wastewater utilities. AWWU is requesting an across-the-board rate increase of 5.50 percent for water customers and 3.25 percent for wastewater customers. The proposed rates are expected to take effect on February 13, 2026. The Commission may approve a rate or classification that varies from the proposed rates. • The proposed water rate increases range from $0.61 to $1.36 per 1,000 gallons for different customer groups. • The proposed wastewater rate increases range from $0.10 to $0.24 per 1,000 gallons for different customer groups. • The public can comment on these filings by January 14, 2026, and can obtain more information by contacting Heather Rafalko or visiting the Commission's website.
