Fuel Price Hedge Consulting

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is seeking a contractor to provide fuel price hedge consulting services to reduce the Division's exposure to fuel price volatility. The contractor will be responsible for recommending an execution strategy for the Fuel Hedging Program, generating monthly reports, monitoring the program and energy markets, and attending quarterly meetings. The contract term is two years, with an estimated initial contract value of $120,000. Key responsibilities include: • Recommending an execution strategy for the Fuel Hedging Program • Generating monthly reports on the Program's status and results • Monitoring the Program and energy markets • Being available to enter into fuel hedge contracts when necessary • Attending quarterly meetings of the Fuel Hedging Oversight Committee • Meeting the requirements of a Qualified Independent Representative • Assisting WSF to compile yearly reports required under RCW 35.58.262 • Performing other work related to the effective performance of the program as needed
