ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN SERVICES

The City of Rockford is seeking architectural design services to develop three single-family detached dwelling design templates that can be applied to city-owned or privately-owned sites. The goal is to streamline future development processes, reduce costs, and establish consistent quality standards for residential infill development. The selected firm will provide a minimum of three design templates, including a two-story design template specifically for the site located at 724 7th Avenue. The City will retain ownership of the architectural drawings and related design documents. Key requirements include: 1.5 baths, option of a 1 or 2 car garage, option of an unfinished basement, 1500-1700 square feet of living space, and energy compliance documentation. • The City's Housing Strategy Framework aims to create and preserve 6,000-9,000 housing units by 2035. • The selected firm will provide design templates that meet the New 1 & 2 Family Homes Permit Application requirements. • The City will evaluate proposals based on experience, project timeline, and cost. • The selected firm will be required to make an oral presentation and/or respond to questions related to the evaluation criteria.
