Potassium Acetate

The State of Nevada, Department of Transportation is seeking bids for a one-year open term contract for Potassium Acetate Liquid Deicer Agent. The material quoted must meet specific In-Service criteria, including containing a minimum of 50.0% Potassium Acetate, having a freeze point of -76ºF (-60ºC), and a flash point greater than 100ºC. Vendors must provide substantial documentation that their product meets or exceeds the specifications provided. • The contract is for the establishment of an open term contract for Potassium Acetate Liquid Deicer Agent. • The material quoted must meet specific In-Service criteria. • Vendors must provide substantial documentation that their product meets or exceeds the specifications provided. • The State of Nevada reserves the right to test all products. • The successful bidder shall take a source-specific representative sample of materials upon award, with a report delivered to NDOT. • All materials delivered to NDOT for application to roadways must include a report of testing from an independent Nevada Certified laboratory.
