The State of Maine is seeking a contractor to provide custodial services for the Department of Public Safety, Fire Marshal Office, located at 2000 Odlin Road, Hermon, ME. The contract will be for a period of one year, with the option to extend for up to four additional years. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary equipment, supplies, and labor to perform the required routine tasks, including daily, monthly, and periodic tasks. The contractor must also provide a detailed plan of action in case of an emergency situation. • Required Routine Tasks: • Daily tasks: cleaning restrooms, dry mopping non-carpeted floors, cleaning public area counters, break rooms, washing desks and table tops, cleaning water fountains, collecting recyclable paper/material, emptying waste baskets • Monthly tasks: cleaning common touch areas, removing spots and stains, keeping custodial closets clean, policing entrances, sweeping and cleaning stairways, washing door glass and interior windows • As Needed/As Requested tasks: spot cleaning walls and partitions, incidental custodial tasks • Periodic tasks: quarterly tasks such as cleaning handrails, dusting, removing spiders and spider webs, spot cleaning carpet; twice a year tasks such as washing light fixtures and lenses, washing inside and outside of exterior windows; steam cleaning carpet The contractor must also provide an hourly labor rate for special projects and must be able to provide services on at least 52 days per year, plus extra days for scheduled floor cleaning tasks.
