RFQ 2026-0037 Forty (40) Vehicle Movement Area Transmitters (VMATs)

The Savannah Airport Commission is seeking a qualified contractor to supply, install, configure, register, test, commission, and integrate forty (40) Vehicle Movement Area Transmitters (VMATs) on airport‑owned vehicles. The contract is a turnkey effort that includes all hardware, software licenses, installation labor, regulatory registration with the FAA, testing, training of airport staff, and a minimum one‑year warranty. Bids must be submitted electronically via the Bonfire portal; no paper or email submissions are accepted. The award will be made to the lowest‑priced, responsible, and responsive bidder. • Supply 38 operational VMAT units plus 2 spare units (ADS‑B, 978 MHz UAT). • Provide all ancillary hardware (antennas, mounts, power supplies, wiring, etc.). • Perform on‑site installation, configuration, FAA registration, and activation. • Conduct testing, commissioning, and integration with the FAA Surface Awareness Initiative (SAI). • Deliver training, documentation, and a minimum one‑year warranty. • All work must comply with FAA AC 150/5220‑26, FCC rules, and Buy‑American requirements. • Submission deadline: October 15, 2026 5:00 PM EST; prices firm for 90 days.
