The Air Mobility Command Museum at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware requires services for collections support functions, artifact registration, artifact restoration support, and basic conservation services. The contractor will also be responsible for exhibit design and construction services. The contractor must have a Bachelor of Science degree in museum studies or a related field and 5 years of equivalent experience. The contractor will work on-site at the museum, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The contractor will be responsible for performing artifact registration services, evaluating and accessioning artifacts, and designing and installing exhibits. * The contractor will maintain a temporary deposit register for new acquisitions and a permanent accession register for accessioned artifacts. * The contractor will evaluate artifacts quarterly and take basic preservation steps or recommend a course of action for artifacts requiring professional conservation. * The contractor will design and install 10 to 12 complex graphic projects and 20 to 30 less complex sign projects per year. * The contractor will perform research, compose, edit, and produce text blocks for exhibit storylines. * The contractor will design and produce signs, text blocks, photo images, and graphics using vinyl plotters and other standard image-making equipment.
