Distance Measuring Instruments

The Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking bids for Distance Measuring Instruments. The contract will be for an initial period of one year, with the option to renew for four additional one-year periods. The successful bidder will be required to provide Distance Measuring Instruments that meet the specifications outlined in the solicitation. The contract will be awarded to the bidder that offers the best value to the Commonwealth, based on factors such as price, delivery time, and product quality. • The Distance Measuring Instruments must be NITESTAR NS-60 or approved equivalent. • The instruments must have a power source of 9 to 16 VDC, negative ground, and a maximum current of 90 ma at 12 VDC. • The instruments must have an accuracy of plus or minus one foot per mile and a resolution of plus or minus one foot. • The instruments must have a backlit liquid crystal display with a 6-digit distance display and a 4-digit interval distance display. • The instruments must have a keypad with 15 keys and an LED backlight. • The instruments must have a speed display that shows vehicle speed in miles per hour, kilometers per hour, or feet per second. • The instruments must have a count feature that allows the user to count distance in miles, feet, or kilometers.
