Affordable Solar and Storage Predevelopment and Technical Assistance

The NYSERDA Affordable Solar and Storage Pre‑development and Technical Assistance (PON 3414) program provides grant funding to support early‑stage planning, feasibility, and outreach work that removes barriers to solar‑plus‑storage projects for low‑to‑moderate‑income (LMI) households in New York. Eligible lead applicants include affordable‑housing owners, local governments, community‑development corporations, and other entities that serve LMI customers; consultants and solar‑installers may partner as co‑applicants. Individual awards are capped at $200,000 and contracts may run up to 24 months, with milestone‑based payments (up to $5 k on execution, a mobilization payment ≤ 30 % or $30 k, midpoint, substantial completion, and final deployment payments). Applications are accepted from December 15 2024 through December 31 2029 (5 PM ET).
