Emergency Hotel Room Services for Disaster and Inclement Weather

The City of Coconut Creek, Florida is seeking proposals from qualified hotels to provide short-term, non-congregate emergency shelter accommodations following disasters, extreme weather events, and other emergency situations. The selected hotel will provide services in accordance with the scope of services, requirements, terms, and conditions set forth in this Request for Proposals (RFP). The hotel must be located within or near the City of Coconut Creek and must meet the requirements outlined in the RFP, including providing a 24/7 staffed Front Desk function, billing nightly, and maintaining industry standard fire/life safety systems. • The hotel must be able to accommodate people with disabilities and access and functional needs with ADA compliant rooms. • The hotel must ensure each guest room/suite is equipped with bathroom facilities, including a minimum of a toilet, sink, and shower or bath. • The hotel must maintain appropriate insurance coverage for guests staying at the facility. • The hotel must maintain staff availability 24 hours a day/7 days a week and inform potential guests how to reach staff in the event they require assistance.
