NCF Dietary and Laundry Hot Water Tank Replacement

The Iowa Department of Administrative Services is seeking a qualified design firm to provide full professional design services (architectural and engineering) for the replacement of hot‑water tanks that serve dietary and laundry operations at the NCF facility. The scope includes field inspections, design development, construction‑document production, coordination with state agencies, construction‑phase support, and final close‑out activities. The contract will be awarded on a best‑value basis and will run from the design kickoff in late May 2026 through project close‑out in January 2027. • Provide architectural and engineering design for two storage tanks plus an expansion tank, including layout, specifications, and code compliance. • Deliver 100 % design development documents, construction documents at 50 % and 95 % stages, and a final set of construction documents with cost opinions. • Supply construction‑phase services such as bid assistance, site observation reports, RFI reviews, change‑order analysis, and a one‑year warranty punch‑list visit. • Coordinate with state agencies (e.g., Department of Inspections, Appeals & Licensing) and the designated construction manager (Boyd Jones). • Submit one digital proposal via the IMPACS system by 14 May 2026, with mandatory price‑firmness for 120 days.
