RFI for FY14 Defined Services

The Knox County Purchasing Division is seeking Requests for Information (RFI) for Defined Services for Nonprofit Agencies. The objective of this RFI is to effectively and responsibly distribute County funds to support nonprofit programs in the community that are efficient, well-managed, accountable, and a wise investment of taxpayer dollars. Agencies seeking County funding must submit a response to this RFI to be considered for funding. The RFI includes several sections, such as program summary, scope of services, program evaluation, community support, budget, and budget narrative. Respondents must also submit several attachments, including a charter acknowledgement, 501(c)(3) certificate, and most recent IRS 990. • The RFI is open to nonprofit agencies that provide services to Knox County citizens. • The County Mayor will make recommendations for funding to the County Commission as part of the budget process. • The funding amount may be adjusted upon renewal by Knox County as recommended by the Mayor and subject to approval by Knox County Commission through the annual budget process. • The contract term is one year with an option to renew for up to three years. • The RFI includes a mandatory technical assistance workshop.
