Granite Surface Plate Calibration and lapping

The U.S. Army is seeking a qualified vendor to inspect, calibrate, and lap/repair its inventory of granite surface plates used at the Rock Island Arsenal Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center. Work is performed under a firm‑fixed‑price contract with a one‑year base period and up to four one‑year options, delivering calibrated plates annually. The contractor must be ISO 17025‑accredited, meet strict DoD security and training requirements, and provide service acceptance reports within three business days of each calibration. • Scope: Inspection, calibration, and lapping/repair of ~20 granite surface plates per year. • Deliverables: Calibrated plates shipped to RIA‑JMTC, SARs, training certificates, and compliance documentation. • Requirements: ISO 17025 accreditation, HubZone/SDVOSB/WOSB eligibility (optional), SAM registration, CAGE/UEI, background checks, AT Level I and iWATCH training, adherence to strict security and visitor protocols.
