E. Broad St over Abandoned Railroad Spur Bridge Superstructure Replacement

The City of Richmond is seeking bids for the replacement of the superstructure of the existing bridge carrying East Broad Street over the CSX Transportation right-of-way. The project includes the removal and replacement of the bridge superstructure, repair/replacement of sidewalks, curbing, pavement markings, signs, maintenance of traffic, erosion and sediment control, and lighting. The project will be performed at the E Broad Street bridge over the abandoned railroad spur, and the work is permitted from 07:00 to 23:00 daily, Monday through Friday. The contract will be a unit price type of contract agreement between the City of Richmond and the selected General Contractor. * The project requires the replacement of the existing bridge superstructure with a precast box girder system. * The project includes the repair/replacement of sidewalks, curbing, pavement markings, signs, and lighting. * The project requires the maintenance of traffic, erosion and sediment control. * The project will be completed above grade and will require minimal ground disturbance. * The contractor shall submit a list of key personnel that will be assigned to the project. * The contractor shall provide a site safety plan and company safety plan to the Project Manager. * The contractor shall submit a list of emergency contact numbers to the Project Manager.
