Intent to Sole Source - External & Inlet Lighting Repairs

The US Air Force is seeking a contractor to provide repair services for the F-16 External Lighting Panel and Inlet Lights. The contractor will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and functionally testing the lighting systems to restore them to full operational capability. The work must be performed in accordance with the technical orders and standards specified in the Statement of Work. The contractor will be required to provide a complete record of all maintenance actions performed, including parts used, inspections conducted, and tests completed, as well as a signed certification indicating that the work was performed in accordance with applicable regulations and that the aircraft is approved for return to service. Key aspects of the job include: • Repair and/or replacement of the external lighting panel • Repair and/or replacement of the inlet lights • Troubleshooting, component replacement, and functional testing of the external lighting panel • Proper installation, alignment, and functionality of the inlet lights • Compliance with applicable technical orders and standards
