Description:
The State of Colorado is seeking a Flow Injection Analysis (FIA) system and its associated control software. The proposed system must meet or exceed all specifications listed in the document, including instrument hardware requirements, analytical performance and analyte coverage, computer and control software requirements, and service requirements. The system must be capable of automating chemistry analysis, delivering precise and reproducible small volumes of samples and reagents, and achieving correlation coefficients of at least 0.995 for multipoint calibration curves of all analytes. Some key features and specifications of the required system include: • Automating chemistry analysis by accurately pumping small volumes of sample and reagents through a continuous flow system • Delivering precise and reproducible small volumes of samples and reagents • Having a mechanism to divert air from the continuous flow stream to waste • Having a spectrometer for the measurement of absorbance • Having a fully integrated autosampler allowing for user-defined uptake and rinse times • Being capable of analyzing Ammonia, Total Phosphorus, Ortho Phosphorus, and NOx (NO2/NO3 combined) without making any hardware changes • Achieving at minimum the specified Method Detection Levels for each analyte • Being EPA compliant to the specified methods • Having a computer running on the most recent version of Windows and supporting a wired network connection via ethernet • Having control software that supports auditing capabilities, user-configurable result flagging, and data export to a LIMS usable file • Including on-site initial user training and annual service contracts available for preventative maintenance and repair
