Notice for proposed Sole Source for Mobile World Congress

The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) is seeking a sole-source approval to purchase booth space at the Mobile World Congress trade show for the FY27 and FY28 iterations. The benefits to the State include increased exposure to the largest gathering for the mobile communications industry for technology companies and for Colorado to gain exposure for international companies to expand into the state. The vendor, GSMA, is the organizer of Mobile World Congress and is responsible for booth space, furniture, graphics, and contractor services at the trade show. • The trade show is a global business event that attracts leading companies in the mobile technology ecosystem. • The booth space will provide opportunities for Colorado companies to increase their global exposure and meet potential buyers. • The purchase is justified as a sole source because GSMA is the only vendor that can provide the necessary goods and services for the trade show. • The cost of attending the trade show is not negotiable, and the price falls in line with the cost of other trade shows within the industry throughout the world.
