Amendment 2 - Yakama Indian Health Clinic, Laboratory Support Services

The Indian Health Service is seeking a contractor to provide laboratory support services, including one Medical Laboratory Scientist and one Medical Technician (Phlebotomy), to support the Laboratory Program at the Yakama Service Unit in Toppenish, Washington. The contractor will provide non-personal laboratory support services, including diagnostic testing, phlebotomy, specimen collection and handling, quality control, and documentation in the electronic health record. The contractor will work during clinic operating hours, not to exceed 40 hours per week, and will be required to meet specific qualifications, credentialing, and background requirements. • The contractor will perform laboratory duties in a moderate complexity outpatient setting. • The contractor will provide laboratory support during clinic operating hours as scheduled. • The contractor will perform or assist with diagnostic testing, operate laboratory equipment, and maintain patient safety and infection control. • The contractor will collaborate with health care providers, communicate critical test results, and participate in inspections, audits, and regulatory compliance activities. • The contractor will be required to provide professional liability coverage and comply with applicable laws and regulations, including HIPAA and the Privacy Act.
