Private Underground Utility Locating Service

The Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking a vendor to provide private underground utility locating services. The services will include horizontally locating private underground utilities at sites throughout the state using methods such as electromagnetic and real-time ground penetrating radar. The vendor will be required to provide photos of marked utilities, GPR data, and use environmentally safe paint and flags to identify discoveries. The contract will be awarded based on best price, years of experience, and bid information. • The vendor must be able to perform services on a statewide basis, including remote areas. • The vendor must provide a map or image of the site, or meet on-site to confirm the area and assist with access. • All findings must be marked according to APWA standards. • The Division of Waste Management will contact 811 prior to requesting service.
