Courier Service for Newborn Screening Samples

The Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking a vendor to provide courier services for the transportation of newborn screening samples and other clinical and environmental specimens from Kentucky birthing hospitals and health departments to the Kentucky Division of Laboratory Services in Frankfort, Kentucky. The vendor will be responsible for daily pick-ups from 46 birthing hospitals and 12 health departments, including one correctional facility, and for delivering the specimens to the laboratory by the next morning. The vendor must comply with all applicable regulations, including those related to the handling and transportation of infectious substances. The contract will be for an initial period of one year, with the option to extend for four additional two-year periods.
