Family Law Clinic Attorney Services-Part-Time

The Circuit Court for Cecil County is seeking qualified attorneys to provide limited-scope legal consultation services in its Family Law Clinic. The selected attorney(s) will assist self-represented litigants in navigating family law matters, completing court forms, and understanding court procedures. Responsibilities include meeting with self-represented litigants, assisting with court forms and pleadings, reviewing documents, and providing referrals to legal or community resources. The attorney(s) shall be available for up to two hours per week, with flexible days and hours during court business hours. • Meet with self-represented litigants during scheduled clinic hours • Assist litigants in completing court forms and pleadings • Review documents to ensure filings are properly prepared for the Clerk's Office • Help litigants understand court procedures and next steps • Provide referrals to appropriate legal or community resources • Accept same-day referrals from the Magistrate/Court when feasible • Consultation only, no entry of appearance, no court representation
