The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking to establish a new single award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for Architect-Engineer (A/E) design services at the Wm S. Middleton VA Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. The selected A/E firm will provide required architect/engineer and related services required in accordance with issued task orders. The scope of work may include field verification of existing conditions, preparation of schematic designs, space plans, construction documents, specifications, cost estimates, review of shop drawings and sample submittals, site visits, and preparation of punch lists. The key requirements for this opportunity include: • Professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of required services • Specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work required • Capacity to accomplish the work in the required time • Past performance on contracts with Government agencies and private industry • Location in the general geographical area of the project and knowledge of the locality of the project • Record of significant claims against the firm • Experience in construction period services
