B026-55 Chemicals

The City of Meriden is soliciting bids for the purchase of various chemicals for use in water and wastewater treatment. The chemicals include calcium hypochlorite, liquid caustic soda, liquid aluminum sulfate, liquid sodium permanganate, liquid sodium fluoride, granular phosphate blend, and liquid ferric chloride. Bidders must provide product data sheets and safety data sheets with their bids. The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informality or technical defects. The contract will be awarded to the bidder who best meets the specifications and is deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Meriden. • The contract will be for a period of one year, with the option to extend for up to two additional one-year terms. • The city expects all deliveries to be made within five business days after placement of order. • Bidders must submit a non-collusive statement, bidder's qualification statement, bid bond, and form of surety guaranty with their bids. • The city is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer and encourages disadvantaged, minority, small, and women business enterprises to respond.
