Victims of Crime Act (VOCA)

• Grant program funded by U.S. Department of Justice's Office for Victims of Crime • Funding available to support programs providing direct services to crime victims in Arkansas • Eligible applicants include: - Public organizations - Nonprofit organizations - Local victim services organizations - Domestic violence shelters - Child abuse programs - Rape crisis centers - Law enforcement agencies - Prosecutorial offices - Court-based victim assistance programs • Program funding cycle runs annually from October 1 through September 30 • Focus areas: 1. Immediate aftermath assistance to crime victims 2. Long-term support services for victims rebuilding their lives • Services must be directly related to helping crime victims in Arkansas
