Side Sonar Scan of USCG 87' Patrol Boat

The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking a qualified contractor to perform a side scan sonar inspection of the underwater hull of the 87' U.S. Coast Guard Cutter. The contractor will be required to provide a firm-fixed-price quote for the work, which includes performing thickness measurements of the underwater body and freeboard using an ultrasonic side scan method. The contractor must also provide a brief technical narrative describing their approach to meeting the requirements, as well as a capability document showing past experience in performing similar underwater hull inspection services. The work will be performed at USCG Base Ketchikan, and the contractor must be able to meet the desired start date of 11MAY26. Some key requirements include: • Performing a "Scanning Crawler Automated Test" of the vessel's freeboard and u/w hull plating • Providing a qualified ultrasonic testing company with suitable side scan equipment • Ensuring all scanning operations are completed by personnel meeting the personnel qualification and certification requirements • Submitting a final report within three working days after the side scan inspection is completed, including a copy of all repair areas marked on the provided shell plate drawing(s) and a summary document of the same areas
