Haul and Process Single Stream Recyclables

The Atlantic County Utilities Authority is seeking bids for the hauling and processing of single stream recyclables. The contract term will be for three years, with the option to extend for two additional one-year terms. The contractor will be responsible for collecting and hauling approximately 40,000 tons of recyclables per year, and will be required to process the materials at their own facility. The authority is looking for a single contractor to provide the complete and comprehensive service, including hauling and processing. • The contractor will be required to comply with all local, state, and federal regulations, and to obtain any necessary permits. • The contractor will be responsible for carrying out all hauling and processing operations in a safe and prudent manner. • The contractor will be required to provide equipment, including state-certified scales, for the weighing of single stream recyclables. • The contractor will be required to submit market reports for each commodity sold, including tons and per ton price. • The authority will share 50% of the dollar amount of the average commodity revenue (ACR) above the bid price, based on a monthly calculation.
