Description
This contract covers the complete reconstruction of the outdoor basketball court at Lake Grove Park in Auburn, Maine. The scope includes removal of the existing surface, installation of a new asphalt base, placement of a Mirafi 600X synthetic surface, two coats of acrylic resurfacer, two coats of black color, painting of all court markings, installation of supplied gooseneck poles, backboards and hoops, placement of two park benches on concrete pads, and seeding of disturbed areas. Work must be performed within defined daytime hours, adhere to OSHA and local safety standards, and be finished by May 22 2026. The City of Auburn funded the project and selected Vermont Recreational Surfacing & Fencing Inc. as the sole contractor on a lump‑sum, firm‑fixed‑price basis.
• Full demolition and resurfacing of a 42 ft × 62 ft basketball court, including asphalt and synthetic surfacing.
• Installation of court equipment (backboards, hoops, benches) and related site work (concrete pads, seeding).
• Strict compliance with safety, traffic‑control, waste‑disposal, and tax‑exemption requirements; 10 % retainage held; payment within 30 days of invoice.
