The County of Snohomish is soliciting (and has awarded) a contract for comprehensive geotechnical consulting services to support the design and construction of Meadowdale Beach County Park, which includes habitat improvements and a new four‑span railroad bridge. The work will encompass site investigation, soil and groundwater analysis, foundation design recommendations, construction‑phase monitoring, and related reports. • Provide geotechnical investigations (borings, sampling, lab testing) for park improvements and bridge foundations. • Develop design documents, specifications, and construction‑phase monitoring plans for a four‑span railroad bridge. • Deliver final reports and recommendations to support permitting, design, and construction activities. • Contract awarded to Shannon & Wilson, a specialist geotechnical consulting firm. • Awarded on 24 August 2016 following a competitive RFQ process with a bid deadline of 9 May 2016.
