EXIT 298 SEWER LIFT STATION & FORCE MAIN

This contract involves the design‑build construction of a new 400 gpm sewer lift station (future expand‑to 1,500 gpm) and associated force main at the City of Elko’s Exit 298 site. The scope includes civil earthwork, precast wet‑well and dry‑pit structures, three 15‑hp sewage pumps, HDPE force‑main installation (≈ 11,500 LF of 6‑in. and 10‑in. pipe), water‑line relocation, trenchless crossing under SR‑535, utility coordination, electrical and SCADA systems, and required permitting and environmental controls. The project was awarded to Great Basin Engineering Contractors on a firm‑fixed‑price basis for a total of approximately $4.3 million, with a 180‑day contract period and liquidated damages of $1,000 per day for late completion.
