Brokerage Services – Voluntary Employee Benefits

The University System of Georgia (USG) is seeking a Broker of Record to provide strategic guidance, expertise, and ongoing support for its voluntary benefits offerings. The Broker will competitively procure and recommend voluntary benefits offerings that meet the needs of and fill the gaps in insurance for the USG employee/retiree population. The contract term is one year with four one-year options to renew. • The USG is a part of the community in each of Georgia’s 159 counties and provides services across the state. • The USG is composed of 26 higher education institutions, including four research universities, four comprehensive universities, nine state universities, and nine state colleges. • The system provides benefits to some 50,000 benefit-eligible employees, more than 23,000 retirees, and their respective families. • The voluntary plans included are dental, vision, life, AD&D, short- and long-term disability, flexible spending plans, health savings accounts, and an array of specialized offerings. • The plan years run on a calendar year basis.
