Description
The Houston Airport System (HAS) is seeking a qualified contractor to deliver comprehensive weather intelligence and meteorological support services for its three airport facilities (IAH, HOU, and EFD). The scope includes real‑time severe‑weather monitoring, forecasting, critical‑weather advisory generation, 24/7 consultative support, and integration of alerts into HAS’s existing emergency communication platforms (Everbridge and Esri GIS). The contract will serve 25–50 operational users across departments such as Operations, Airfield Operations, Emergency Management, and Executive Leadership, providing daily briefings, situational “orange” and “red” alerts, and post‑event storm commentary. Key elements:
• Provide forecast products, storm‑track updates, and decision‑support briefings (e.g., 7‑day to 24‑hour pre‑landfall timelines).
• Integrate alert and situational data with Everbridge and Esri GIS dashboards, supporting email, SMS, mobile, and direct phone calls for high‑impact alerts.
• Deliver continuous 24/7 meteorological consultation, including live calls for orange/red alerts, and maintain data retention (1 year for routine data, 3 years for major events).
