Manufacture of M284A2 155mm and other MTC Cannon Tubes

The U.S. Army is conducting a market survey (Sources Sought) to identify domestic manufacturers capable of producing 155 mm M284A2 and related cannon tubes up to 30 ft in length. Respondents must detail their experience, production processes, capacities, material sources, and potential cost estimates for an initial quantity of 40 tubes. The solicitation is for information only; it is not a binding contract. • Required capabilities include bore/diameter cold‑working, autofrettage, boring, milling, rifling, chrome‑bore coating, and protective painting. • Provide current monthly production capacity, projected 18‑month availability, and a plan to scale up to 10 tubes per month within 36 months, including an NTE ROM for the first 40 tubes. • All responses must be submitted electronically within 30 days of the notice, at no cost to the Government.
