AFP for Lease of Underutilized Land at Stennis Space Center

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is soliciting proposals for the lease of underutilized land at the Stennis Space Center in Mississippi. The property consists of approximately 1,465 acres of land, and NASA is seeking proposals from commercial industry or federal public entities interested in leasing and developing the land in a manner that complements the SSC mission and contributes to U.S. commercial competitiveness in the space, information technology, and/or aerospace industries. The selected proposer will be required to enter into a lease agreement with NASA, which will grant the proposer sufficient rights to occupy, develop, operate, modify, and maintain the real property. The lease will have a base term of up to 30 years, with the option to extend for an additional 20 years. • The property is located within the NASA Stennis Space Center fee area. • The lease will require the proposer to pay an annual rent, which will be based on the fair market value of the property. • The proposer will be responsible for all development, construction, and operational costs associated with the property. • The proposer will be required to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations. • The proposer will be required to provide information on their financial capability, technical approach, and impact on the local economy.
