Processing /Bulk Liquid Eggs into Usable End Products

The South Dakota Department of Education’s Division of Child and Adult Nutrition Services is seeking a qualified vendor to process USDA material 100047 Bulk Liquid Eggs into usable end products for use in the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs. The successful consultant will be required to provide six different bid items, including pre-cooked Colby cheese omelet, Egg and Cheese Tortilla, Scrambled Egg Patty, Scrambled egg with cheese and bacon, Whole Grain French Toast Sticks, and Turkey Sausage Egg Bake Bites. Each bid item must meet specific nutritional requirements and CN meal equivalency requirements. The consultant must also provide a Summary End Product Data Schedule (SEPDS) Summary A or B for all products submitted for bid. • The contract will be for a period of one year, with the option to extend for an additional four years. • The consultant must be an approved USDA NPA Commodity Processor. • The consultant will be required to deliver finished products to a warehouse facility in Sioux Falls, SD. • The consultant must include provisions in its subcontracts requiring its subcontractors to comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. • The consultant will be required to provide samples of each bid item for taste testing at five different schools. • The consultant must submit a proposal that includes a detailed response to the scope of work, financial statements, and certification relating to prohibited entities.
