Two (2) One-Ton 4WD Dual Rear Wheel Crew Cab Chassis

The City of Ames is soliciting bids for the purchase of two one-ton 4WD dual rear wheel crew cab chassis. The chassis will be used by the City's Electric Services Distribution Division and will be fitted with a fiberglass utility body and accessories by an upfitter/vendor. The minimum specifications for the chassis include a current production model, 4-door crew cab, 4WD, and a gas engine. The bid must include the cost of the chassis, as well as any additional items specified. The City reserves the right to reject any bid due to unclear proposals and to award bids in the best interest of the City. • The chassis must be a current production model with a 4-door crew cab and 4WD. • The engine must be a gas engine with the largest V8 available. • The chassis must have a limited slip rear differential and an automatic locking front differential. • The bid must include the cost of the chassis, as well as any additional items specified. • The City reserves the right to reject any bid due to unclear proposals and to award bids in the best interest of the City.
