Type C, Sodium Chloride, Winter Road Salt

The City of Sandy is seeking bids for the supply of Type C, Sodium Chloride, Winter Road Salt. The contract will be for a period of one year, with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods. The City typically orders between 3,500 - 7,500 tons of material depending on the number and severity of winter storms. Deliveries will be made to the Sandy City Public Works Salt Shed Building on an as-needed basis. The bid will be evaluated based on price, delivery time, product quality, and references. • The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any minor irregularity or technical error in the form of bids. • The bid must include a certification of bid and agreement to terms and conditions. • The City may require written confirmation of the projected delivery time from the company prior to the award of the purchase order. • The awarded vendor will be asked to conform to and sign the insurance requirements and terms and conditions.
