Foundational Technologies Directorate (RE) Multiple Authority Announcement (MAA)

The Air Force Research Laboratory, Foundational Technologies Directorate (RE) is releasing a Multiple Authority Announcement (MAA) to provide a comprehensive strategy for its range of Science and Technology (S&T) efforts. The MAA will allow for progression from basic research to technology maturation and transition. The announcement covers various technical areas, including Photonic, Electronic, & Soft Materials, Manufacturing and Industrial Technologies, Composite, Ceramic, Metallic, and Materials Performance, Integration and Operations, and Energy. The MAA process will consolidate several solicitation authorities under a single announcement, and individual solicitations will be released under this overarching announcement. * The technical areas covered under this MAA include: * Photonic, Electronic, & Soft Materials * Manufacturing and Industrial Technologies * Composite, Ceramic, Metallic, and Materials Performance * Integration and Operations * Energy * The MAA process will utilize various authorities, including Revolutionary Federal Acquisition Regulation Overhaul and its Supplements, 10 U.S.C. 3458, and 10 U.S.C. 4022. * The announcement is open to all eligible offerors, including small businesses and foreign-owned firms. * The Air Force may make awards via various instruments, including contracts, grants, cooperative agreements, and Other Transactions.
