Autonomous Decisions, Algorithms, and Modeling (ADAM)

The Air Force Research Laboratory, Sensors Directorate, Multi-Domain Sensing Autonomy Division (AFRL/RYA) has released a Multiple Authority Announcement (MAA) for the Autonomous Decisions, Algorithms, and Modeling (ADAM) program. The MAA is intended to provide a comprehensive strategy for AFRL/RYA's range of Science and Technology (S&T) efforts, allowing for progression from basic research to technology maturation and transition. The program will focus on six technical areas: Multi-Domain Sense Making, Sensing Autonomy, Sensing and Effects Analysis, Multi-Sensing Knowledge, Sensing Management, and Efforts in support of sensing autonomy technology development. • The MAA will utilize various solicitation authorities, including 10 U.S.C. 4001 and Federal Acquisition Regulation and its Supplements (FAR(S)), to issue individual solicitations for specific technical areas. • The MAA is open to all eligible offerors, including small businesses, and will utilize a multi-pronged communication plan to engage with prospective offerors. • The program will require offerors to submit white papers or proposals, which will be evaluated based on their technical merit, relevance to the technical areas, and potential for transition to the Air Force. • The Air Force may make awards via various contract types, including cost reimbursement contracts, grants, cooperative agreements, and Other Transactions. • The program will have various requirements, including security classification, export control, and science and technology protection, which will be specified in individual solicitations.
