Property and Casualty Insurance Broker Services

The Board of Water and Light (BWL) is seeking a Property and Casualty Insurance Broker to provide insurance brokerage services. The selected broker will be responsible for providing a full range of insurance brokerage services, including risk management, policy placement, and claims administration. The contract will be for a period of time to be determined, and the BWL reserves the right to modify the contract price via a change order upon mutual agreement of both parties. • The BWL is a public utility that provides electric, water, and steam services to the city of Lansing, Michigan. • The selected broker will be required to comply with the BWL's Safety Manual and to keep all BWL information confidential. • The BWL reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, waive irregularities or technicalities in any Proposal, and accept any Proposal in whole or in part, which in the opinion of the BWL, is in its best interest. • The BWL will evaluate Proposals based on factors such as responsiveness of Proposal, price, time of completion, exceptions to the Proposal Documents, financial stability, recent and past experience, and similar factors.
