Specialty Service Truck Bodies (Re-bid)

The City of Newport News is issuing an RFP to procure custom‑designed specialty service truck bodies on an “as‑needed” basis for its Department of General Services. Qualified contractors must be able to design, fabricate, upfit, and install a variety of truck body configurations—including dump bodies, utility bodies, crane‑equipped service bodies, and dry vans—integrating hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems. The contract will be awarded for an initial one‑year term with up to four one‑year renewal options and a possible six‑month extension.
