Electronics Collection Services

The Boone County Public Works Solid Waste Department is seeking bids from qualified vendors to provide Electronics Collection Services at the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event on November 7th, 2026. The contractor will be responsible for the final classification, packaging, transportation, and proper recycling and disposal of received hazardous waste. The contractor must provide their own staffing, equipment, storage/collection containers, safety equipment/supplies, trucking, and accidental spill/contamination/environmental hazard measures. The contractor must follow all OSHA guidelines, local, state, and federal laws, and must be experienced with hazardous waste programs. • The event will be held at the Thomas More Stadium in Florence, KY, from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. • The contractor will be required to notify the county in writing if any transportation, storage, disposal, or treatment facilities used by the contractor receive a citation or notice of violation from a governmental regulating agency. • The contractor must maintain accurate records of the type and amount of waste shipped and complete all pertinent legal documentation. • The contractor must provide documentation attesting that the waste has been properly recycled/disposed. • The county's normal payment terms are net 30 days, and payment will generally be made the next day following the Fiscal Court Meeting after completion of the work, subject to approval.
