SIGNALS INFORMATION EXPLOITATION TECHNOLOGY ENHANCEMENTS (SIETE)

The Department of the Air Force is seeking innovative research to investigate algorithms, methodologies, and techniques for the demonstration and evaluation of enhanced signal information exploitation, dissemination, and analytics of existing and emerging adversarial systems. The research areas of interest include onboard processing enhancements of manned and unmanned Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) platforms, high-speed signal detection and prosecution technology demonstration, cross-domain multi-sensor/multi-platform data analytics, and Open System Architecture (OSA) compliance for demonstration in operationally relevant environments. The total funding for this ARA is approximately $99.9M, with individual awards not normally exceeding 60 months and dollar amounts normally ranging from $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Key aspects of the project include: • Developing/enhancing prototype signal processing and exploitation algorithms • Implementing applicable Open System Architecture (OSA) standards and frameworks • Demonstrating and evaluating signal processing and exploitation algorithms in operationally relevant environments • Delivering capability artifacts, performance evaluation, system and software interface control, and source code documentation • Coordinating across applicable Air Force, DoD, and Intelligence Community partners to facilitate operational transition
